The 2009-2010 Kawasaki ZX6R Akrapovic Hexagonal Slip-On Exhaust system has a 1-1 configuration and is composed of two main parts: a cylindrical stainless steel link pipe and a muffler which is available with a carbon fiber or titanium outer sleeve. The muffler interior is made entirely of titanium. The link pipe is attached to the header assembly with a graphite gasket and is secured with a metal clamp and silicone shielded spring. The link pipe and muffler are welded together. An optional Link Pipe may be purchased with the Slip-On exhaust systems to improve air flow, increase power and reduce weight even further. The Link Pipe is composed of stainless steel.
Power & Torque (without link pipe): The 2009-2010 Kawasaki ZX6R Akrapovic Hexagonal Slip-On exhaust system results in a major boost in performance, delivering a massive 116.6 HP at 14100 rpm at the back wheel. The increased power isn’t only available just at the top of the range, the system shows its quality from 4000 rpm up through the entire rpm range. Maximum increased power of 2.9 HP was measured at 14050 rpm over the the stock system. Besides this, the torque is substantially higher at the lower 3000 rpm area and from the middle to high rpm area.

Measurements of the Akrapovic SLIP-ON OPEN system on the KAWASAKI Ninja 250R (without muffler insert):
Power & Torque: the exhaust system modification with the SLIP-ON OPEN system results in performance increase, delivering a 27.6 HP at 11200 rpm on back wheel.. But the increased power isn’t available just at the top of the range; the system shows its quality already from 4000 rpm up through entire rpm range. Max. increased power between the Akrapovic and the stock system is 1.1 HP at 12200 rpm. Besides this, the torque is higher in a lower rpm area at 3000 rpm and from middle to high rpm area.

Measurements of the Akrapovic Raving & Evolution system on the BMW S 1000 RR (without muffler insert):
Power & Torque: The power increase with the Akrapovic system is substantial, and can be seen from 7000 rpm right to the top of the range. At 13270 rpm we measured 191.30 HP, with a max. power increase of 11.15 HP at 8450 rpm. The system’s effect on the torque and power curve is huge and strongest at midrange rpm. The main increase starts at around 4500 rpm and continues right into the over-rev range. All this will help you shave lap times and result in a much smoother ride.
